Independent control
Our 488, 888, 4800, 8800, 81608, 81616 and larger machines incorporate a very unique feature and capability not found on competitive machines. Without the need for additional machinery, jigs, blocks or optional accessories, the cutters can cut tapered shapes and also designs utilizing a different shape at both ends of the cutting wire.
The independent axis control of our machines allows the creation of objects which are either too time or labor intensive to produce by any other means. Each end of the cutting wire is mounted on a belt-driven wire trolley that can move horizontally or vertically independent of the other.
To cut a fluted tapered column as in the examples shown; we simply scale down one side of the cutting profile in relation to the other. An 8' tall fluted column, tapered from 18" diameter on one end to 12" on the other, will be finished in less than
four minutes!
